Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to visit a sick man from the Ansar. When he reached near his house, it seemed to him that someone inside was talking, but when he sought permission and entered, he saw that there was no one present except that Ansari. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him: "It sounded to me as if you were talking to someone?" He said: O Messenger of Allah! Because of the fever, I was not liking people's conversations, so I came inside. What do I see but a man came to me, and he was the best in gathering and the finest in conversation after you, O Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: That was Jibreel. Among you are such people that if they swear an oath by Allah, He fulfills their oath.
