Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Satirize (the polytheists) with poetry, for indeed the believer strives with both his life and his wealth. By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! It is as if you are shooting arrows at them (through these poems)."
