Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Aban bin Uthman says: Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) came out from Marwan around midday. We said: At this time, Marwan must have called him to ask him something. I went to him and asked him about this. He said: Yes, he asked us about some ahadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “May Allah make radiant and fresh the person who hears my hadith, preserves it, and conveys it to others. Many carriers of hadith are not jurists, and many carriers of jurisprudence convey (my ahadith) to someone more learned than themselves. The heart of a believer never betrays regarding three qualities: acting sincerely for Allah, being well-wishing to those in authority, and adhering to the community, for their supplication encompasses everyone.” Also, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever’s concern is the Hereafter, Allah will organize his affairs, make his heart content, and the world will come to him humbled. And whoever’s goal is the world, Allah will scatter his affairs, place poverty before his eyes, and nothing of the world will come to him except what is decreed for him.”
