Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Shaqiq narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) recited the Talbiyah on the Safa hill and said: O tongue! Speak words consisting of goodness and virtue, so that you may attain success. Or remain silent so that you may be safe and not regretful. The people asked, O Abu Abdur-Rahman! Are you saying these words from yourself or have you heard them from someone? He said: I have not heard them from anyone, yes, I have certainly heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Most of the errors of the son of Adam are because of his tongue."
