Killing snakes and dogs
Hadith 2720
- (اقتُلُوا الحيّاتِ والكلابَ، واقتلُوا ذا الطُّفيَتَينِ والأبتَرَ؛ فإنّهما يلتمسانِ البصَرَ، ويستسقطانِ الحَبَالى) .
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Kill snakes and dogs, and (especially) kill the snakes with two stripes and those with short tails, for they snatch away eyesight and cause miscarriages." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) and Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
