Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “Whoever meets Allah in such a state that he has not associated anything with Him, has performed the five prayers, and has fasted in Ramadan, then Allah will forgive him.” I said: O Messenger of Allah! Should I not give glad tidings to the people (by narrating this hadith)? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Leave them, so that they may continue to do (more) deeds.”
