Replying to someone who sneezes three times
Hadith 2708
- " إذا عطس أحدكم فليشمته جليسه، فإن زاد على ثلاث فهو مزكوم، ولا يشمت بعد ذلك ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When someone sneezes, his companion should supplicate for him (by saying «يرحمك الله»), and if he sneezes more than three times, (it means) he has a cold, and in that case, he should not say «يرحمك الله»."
