Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever attributes to me something which I have not said, then let him make his abode in the Hellfire.” This narration with these words is reported from a group of the Companions. (This group refers to) Sayyiduna ‘Uthman, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar, Sayyiduna ‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir, Sayyiduna Zubair ibn al-‘Awwam, Sayyiduna Salamah ibn al-Akwa‘, Sayyiduna Wa’thilah ibn al-Asqa‘, and Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ghafiqi (may Allah be pleased with them).
