Rebellion and severing ties are grave crimes
Hadith 2554
- " ما من ذنب أجدر أن يعجل الله تعالى لصحابه العقوبة في الدنيا مع ما يدخر له في الآخرة من البغي وقطيعة الرحم ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is no sin more deserving that Allah should hasten the punishment for its perpetrator in this world, along with what He stores for him in the Hereafter (of punishment), than rebellion (oppression) and severing the ties of kinship."
