How is the Prophet’s ﷺ intercession possible?
Hadith 2530
- " كان مما يقول للخادم: ألك حاجة؟ قال: حتى كان ذات يوم فقال: يا رسول الله ! حاجتي. قال: وما حاجتك؟ قال: حاجتي أن تشفع لي يوم القيامة. قال: ومن دلك على هذا؟ قال: ربي. قال: أما لا، فأعني بكثرة السجود ".
It is narrated from the servant or maid of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who says: Among the things the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say to the servant was: (He would ask): "Do you have any need?" Eventually, one day the servant said: O Messenger of Allah! I have a need. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is your need?" He said: My need is that you intercede for me on the Day of Resurrection. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who guided you to this (request)?" He said: My Lord did. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why not! Then help me by making many prostrations."
