Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

It is narrated from Husayn bin Abdur Rahman, he says: I heard Abu Ubaidah bin Hudhaifah, who narrates from his aunt, Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: We, a few women, went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to nurse him. Due to the severity of the fever’s heat, a water-skin was hanging near him, its water was falling on him, and according to another narration, it was falling on the heart of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). We said: O Messenger of Allah! If you pray to Allah, He will grant you healing. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The people who are tested the most severely are the Prophets, then those nearest to them (in rank), then those nearest to them, and then those nearest to them.”
