Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna ‘Ammarah bin Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that his father said: I saw in a dream that I was prostrating on the forehead of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about this. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, the soul meets the soul.” In another narration, it is: “Sit and prostrate, and do as you saw.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his head in this manner (to describe this state, ‘Affan moved his head backward), then he placed his forehead on the forehead of the Messenger of Allah.
