Outcome of Allah's respite
Hadith 2486
- (إنَّ اللهَ ليُملي للظّالمِ، حتى إذا أخذه لم يُفْلِتْه. قال: ثم قرأ: ﴿ وكذلك أخذُ ربِّك إذا أخذ القُرى وهي ظالمةٌ إن أخذه أليم شديد﴾ ) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah gives respite to the oppressor, but when He seizes him, he cannot escape from Him." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse of the Qur'an: And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe. __QUR_N__
