Consequence of impatience... consequence of suicide
Hadith 245
- (كانَ فيمن كان قبلكم رجلٌ به جَرحٌ فَجَزِعَ، فأخذ سِكِّيناً فحَزَّ بها يَدَهُ، فما رَقَأَ الدَمُ حتى مات، قال الله تعالى: بادَرَني عَبْدي بنفسِهِ، حَرَّمْتُ عليه الجنة) .
Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There was a man among those before you who was wounded and could not bear the pain of his wound, so he took a knife and cut his hand. The blood kept flowing until he died. Allah the Exalted said: My servant hastened in the matter of his soul before Me, so I have made Paradise forbidden for him."
