The tongue can also lead to Hell
Hadith 2322
- (ثكِلتكَ أمُّك [يا معاذُ] بن جَبَل! وهل يكبُّ الناسَ على مناخرِهم في جهنَّم إلا حصائدُ ألسنتِهم؟!) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Will we be held accountable for every word we speak?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Mu'adh bin Jabal! May your mother lose you, the thing that will throw people on their faces into Hellfire is nothing but the useless talk of their tongues."
