Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Habib narrates from his uncle that a companion heard that a certain companion was narrating this hadith of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever conceals the faults of his Muslim brother in this world, Allah Almighty will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection." (In order to hear this hadith directly from the other companion,) he set out on a journey towards him, and he was in Egypt. Eventually, he reached him and inquired about this hadith. He said: Yes, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever conceals the faults of his Muslim brother in this world, Allah Almighty will conceal his (faults and shortcomings) on the Day of Resurrection." He said: I myself heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
