Hadith 2234

The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Three (evils) are destructive and three (virtues) are saving. The three destructive evils are: miserliness which is obeyed, desires of the self which are followed, and self-admiration. The three saving virtues are: fear of Allah in private and in public, moderation in poverty and wealth, and justice in anger and pleasure.” This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abu Awfa, and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them).
