Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah the Exalted says: O son of Adam! (Free yourself from every other task and) devote yourself to My worship, I will make you free of need and fulfill your poverty and hunger. If you do not do so, I will keep you occupied with worldly affairs and (never) fulfill your poverty."
