After Khandaq, polytheists could not attack again
Hadith 2173
- (الآن (وفي رواية: اليوم) نغزوهُم (يعني: مشركي مكة الذين انهزمُوا في غزوةِ الخندقِ) ولا يغزُونا، [نحنُ نسيرُ إليهم] ) .
Sayyiduna Sulaiman bin Surad (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When the armies were put to flight on the day of the Battle of the Trench, I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Now we will attack them (the polytheists of Makkah who were defeated in the Battle of the Trench) in their own territory, they will not attack us, now we will advance towards them."
