Prophet’s address to his wounded finger during jihad
Hadith 2163
- (كان في بعضِ المشاهدِ قد دَمِيَت إصبَعُه فقال: هل أنتِ إلا إصبعٌ دَمِيتِ وفي سبيل الله مالقِيتِ) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jundub bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in one of the battles, and his finger was wounded and bleeding. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is only a finger that has bled, and it has faced this pain in the way of Allah."
