Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah Almighty says: Whoever does a good deed, I will grant him ten times as much or even more reward, and whoever does an evil deed, I will give him the recompense of only one evil or I will forgive it. Whoever meets Me with sins nearly as much as the earth, but does not associate anyone with Me, I will grant him forgiveness equal to that. Whoever comes near to Me by a span, I come near to him by a cubit; whoever comes near to Me by a cubit, I come near to him by the span of two outstretched arms; and whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him running.”
