Causing pain to animals brings punishment
Hadith 2088
- " عذبت امرأة في هرة سجنتها حتى ماتت، فدخلت فيها النار، لا هي أطعمتها وسقتها إذ حبستها ولا هي تركتها تأكل من خشاش الأرض ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman was punished because of a cat. She had confined it until it died, so she entered Hell because of it. She neither fed it nor gave it water while she had confined it, nor did she let it go so that it could eat the insects of the earth by itself."
