Allah asks His servant for a loan
Hadith 208
ـ (يقولُ اللهُ عزّ وجلّ: استقرضْتُ عبدِي فلم يُقرضْنِي، وشتمَني عبدِي وهو لا يدْري (وفي روايةٍ: ولا ينبغِي له شتْمِي) ، يقولُ: وادهْراه! وادهراه! [ثلاثاً] ، وأنا الدهرُ) .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I asked my servant for a loan, but he did not give me a loan, and my servant abuses me in a state of unawareness, although it does not befit him. He says: Alas! Woe to the time, alas! Woe to the time, alas! Woe to the time, while I (Allah) am the time."
