Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a white garment on Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked: "Is your garment new or washed?" He replied: "It is washed." In another narration, he said: "It is new." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Continue to wear new (clothes), live a praiseworthy life, and die a martyr's death."
