Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Kuraib narrates: After the eyesight of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was lost, I used to guide him through the alleys of Abu Lahab. One day he said: I heard from my father (Sayyiduna Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "A man was walking, wearing fine clothes and expressing self-admiration, when suddenly Allah caused the earth to swallow him up, and he will continue to sink in it until the Day of Resurrection."
