Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of dates is the Barni; it drives away disease and there is no disease in it." This hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah bin Husaib, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, Sayyiduna Mazeedah, who is the grandfather of Hud bin Abdullah, Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, and some individuals from the delegation of Abdul Qais (may Allah be pleased with them).
