- " نهى أن نأكل طعام (وفي رواية: هدية) الأعراب ".
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Umm Sunbalah came to me with a gift of milk for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but he was not present with me. I told her that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had prohibited the food of the Bedouins. Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Umm Sunbalah! What is this with you?" She said: O Messenger of Allah! It is milk; I have brought it as a gift for you. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Umm Sunbalah! (Pour it in a bowl) and give it to Abu Bakr." Then he said: "Umm Sunbalah! (Again, pour it in a bowl) and give it to Aisha." Then he said: "Umm Sunbalah! Pour more." This time she handed it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and he drank it. I (Aisha) said: Alas! My heart is at ease. O Messenger of Allah! Did you not prohibit the food of the Bedouin people? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aisha! These (the people of Umm Sunbalah) are not Bedouins; they are our villagers, and we are the people of their city or town, so they are not Bedouins."
