Rights of slaves and servants
Hadith 1850
- " إذا أصلح خادم أحدكم له طعامه فكفاه حره وبرده، فليجلسه معه، فإن أبى فليناوله أكلة في يده ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When a servant prepares food for someone, since he has spared him from the heat and cold of the food, he (the master or owner) should make him sit with him (so that he may also eat the food), and if he refuses to do so, then he should give him some of the food."
