Washing hands after eating and its reason
Hadith 1848
- " من بات وفي يده غمر (¬1) ، فأصابه شيء فلا يلومن إلا نفسه ". هو من حديث ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، وله عنه طريقان: ¬ (¬1) في " القاموس ": " بالتحريك: زنخ اللحم ". اهـ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever spends the night while there is grease from meat on his hand, and then (because of this) some (animal) bites him (or swallows his hand), then he should blame only himself."
