Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Uthman bin Abu al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about forgetting the Noble Qur'an. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) struck his hand on my chest and said: "O Shaytan! Get out from Uthman's chest." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did this three times. Uthman says: After that, I did not forget any word that I wished to remember.
