Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Qais bin Sakan Asadi says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) went to his wife and saw that she had hung an amulet because of the disease of measles. He cut it off very harshly and said: The family and descendants of Abdullah are free from shirk (polytheism). Then he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, incantations, amulets, and love charms are all shirk."
