Divorce the ill-mannered wife
Hadith 1545
- " ثلاثة يدعون فلا يستجاب لهم: رجل كانت تحته امرأة سيئة الخلق فلم يطلقها، ورجل كان له على رجل مال فلم يشهد عليه، ورجل آتى سفيها ماله وقد قال الله عز وجل: * (ولا تؤتوا السفهاء أموالكم) * ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are three types of people who make supplication, but their supplication is not accepted: (1) The person whose wife has bad character and he does not divorce her. (2) The man who borrows money from someone but does not appoint a witness over it. And (3) the man who gives wealth to a foolish person (i.e., a minor or inexperienced person who does not have the ability to manage wealth), even though Allah the Exalted has said: Do not entrust your wealth to the foolish."
