Which conditions are invalid?
Hadith 1527
- " إن هذا لا يصلح. يعني اشتراط المرأة لزوجها أن لا تتزوج بعده ".
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Mubashshir Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a marriage proposal to Umm Mubashshir bint Bara bin Ma’rur. She replied that she had made a condition with her husband that she would not marry anyone after him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “This condition is not valid.”
