It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) that the wife of Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) came riding on the mount of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Qaswa", until she made it sit near the mosque and said: O Messenger of Allah! I had vowed that if Allah Almighty saved me upon this, then I would surely eat from its liver and hump. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You have given it a very bad reward. This is not a vow; a vow is only that by which Allah's pleasure is sought."
