Abu Nadrah says: We were with Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: It is near that the import of qafiz and dirham to the people of Iraq will be stopped. We asked: How will this happen? He said: From the side of the non-Arabs, (a time will come when) they will stop it. Then he said: It is near that the import of dinar and mudd to the people of Sham will be stopped. We asked: How will this happen? He said: From the Romans, (a time will come when) they will stop it. After that, he paused for a little while and then said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the last part of my Ummah, there will be a caliph who will give handfuls of wealth to the people and will not count it." I asked Abu Nadrah and Abu Al-Ala: What do you think, could he be Umar bin Abdul Aziz? They said: No.
