Hadith 1400

- (سيكونُ بعدي خلفاءُ يَعملونَ بما يَعلمونَ، ويَفعلون ما يُؤمرُونَ، وسيكونُ بعدي خلفاءُ يَعملونَ بما لا يَعلمون، ويَفعَلون ما لا يُؤمرونَ، فمن أنكرَ عليهم برئَ، ومن أمسك بيده سلم، ولكنْ من رضِيَ وتابع) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon after me there will be such caliphs who will act upon their knowledge and will carry out what they are commanded to do. After them, there will come rulers who will act upon things which they do not know and will perform deeds which they are not commanded to do. The one who rejects such people will be free, and the one who keeps himself away from them will remain safe, but the one who is pleased with them and follows them, he . . . ."
