Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Abdullah bin Zareer Ghafari says that on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, we went to Syedna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him). He presented khazeerah (as a feast), (this is a type of food prepared with minced meat and flour). We said: O Commander of the Faithful! If you had served the meat of duck and goose, (it would have been very good) and there is plenty of wealth available. He said: Ibn Zareer! I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Only two bowls are lawful for the caliph: one bowl for his and his family's food, and one for feeding someone else."
