When does a newborn become an heir?
Hadith 1295
- " لا يرث الصبي حتى يستهل صارخا، واستهلاله أن يصيح أو يعطس أو يبكي ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah and Sayyiduna Miswar bin Makhramah (may Allah be pleased with them), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "As long as the (newborn) child does not cry, he is not made an heir. His crying is that he screams, sneezes, or weeps."
