Permissible matters about which Shariah is silent
Hadith 1293
- " ما أحل الله في كتابه فهو حلال وما حرم فهو حرام وما سكت عنه فهو عفو، فاقبلوا من الله عافيته * (وما كان ربك نسيا) * (¬1) ".
Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What Allah has declared lawful in His Book is lawful, what He has declared unlawful is unlawful, and those things about which He has remained silent are pardoned. So accept Allah’s pardon, for your Lord is not forgetful." (Surah Maryam 64).
