Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Jundub bin Abdullah Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man among those before you was wounded, and he became very impatient. He took a knife and cut his hand, and the blood did not stop until he died. Allah the Exalted said: 'My servant has hastened before Me.' (Meaning, he was not content with My decree and decided for himself.) I have made Paradise forbidden for him."
