Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Ya’la ibn Murrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “Whoever unlawfully seizes even a handspan of land on the earth, Allah will make him responsible to dig it out until he reaches the last (layer) of the seventh earth, then on the Day of Resurrection, until the people’s judgment is concluded, he will be made to wear it as a collar.”
