Tafsir of “And among people is he who buys idle talk…”; ruling on singing and sale of singing girls
Hadith 1181
- " لا تبيعوا القينات ولا تشتروهن، ولا تعلموهن، ولا خير في تجارة فيهن، وثمنهن حرام، وفي مثل هذا أنزلت هذه الآية: * (ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث ليضل عن سبيل الله) * إلى آخر الآية ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Do not buy or sell female singers, and do not teach them these (idle matters). There is no good in their trade; rather, their price is unlawful. Regarding this issue, this verse was revealed: 'And among mankind is he who purchases idle talk to mislead (men) from the path of Allah.'" __QUR_N__
