- (إنّ صاحبَ المَكسِ في النّارِ) .
Abu al-Khair narrates: The ruler of Egypt, Muslamah bin Makhlad, offered Sayyiduna Rufa’i bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he wanted to appoint him as a collector of taxes. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “The one who collects taxes is in Hell.”
