Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Abu Waqid Al-Laithi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When revelation would descend upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we would come to him. One day he addressed us: “Indeed, Allah the Exalted has said: We have sent down wealth only for establishing prayer and giving zakat. If the son of Adam had a valley full of wealth, he would wish for a second one, and if he had two, he would desire a third. Nothing fills the belly of Adam except dust, and whoever repents to Allah, He accepts his repentance.”
