- " ما يسرني أن لي أحدا ذهبا تأتي علي ثالثة وعندي منه دينار إلا دينار أرصده لدين علي ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not like that I should have gold equal to the mountain of Uhud and (the third day's) night comes upon me while even a single dinar of it remains with me, except that (gold) which I keep to pay off a debt."
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said during his illness of death: "Aisha! What happened to the gold?" I said: It is with me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bring it to me." I brought it. It was nine or five dinars. He (peace and blessings be upon him) held it in his hand and, gesturing, said: "What will Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) think of his Lord if he meets his Lord in this state while this gold is with him? Now do this: spend it (immediately)." Yazid, the narrator, gestured with his hand (to describe the manner of the Prophet's gesture).
