Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He says that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the people in prayer, the Bedouins, seeing the condition of the people of Suffah, used to say that these people are mad. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) completed his prayer and turned towards them, he would say: "If you knew what (good end) you have with Allah Almighty, you would wish that your need, poverty, and destitution be increased."
