Silsilat al-Ahadith al-Sahihah

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: On the occasion of Hajj, on the fourth or fifth of Dhul-Hijjah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me in a state of anger. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Who has made you angry? May Allah put him in the Fire. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do you not know that I commanded the companions to do something, but they hesitated to carry it out? If I had known beforehand what I came to know later, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal with me, nor would I have bought it, so that I would have become lawful (halal) like the people.”
