It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Surely, I have several names: I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am al-Mahi (the effacer)—Allah effaces disbelief through me, I am al-Hashir (the gatherer)—people will be gathered at my feet, and I am al-‘Aqib, and al-‘Aqib is the one after whom there is no prophet.”
