No one was more generous than the Prophet
Hadith 351
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: " مَا سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا قَطُّ فَقَالَ: لَا "
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Whenever anything was asked from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he never uttered the word «لا», meaning "no".
