Kindness to children reflects humility
Hadith 338
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ: «سَمَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُوسُفَ وَأَقْعَدَنِي فِي حِجْرِهِ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي»
Sayyiduna Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named me Yusuf, seated me in his lap, and passed his hand over my head.
